2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT Side View

Ford released this special edition ‘Bullitt’ Mustang GT in tribute to the Steve McQueen movie of the same name that featured a famous chase scene through the streets of San Francisco. The film featured a 1968 Mustang Fastback, and with the fourth generation Mustang, Ford has applied a few visual tweaks to connect the two cars and involve memories of one of films most famous Mustangs.

Changes include unique side scoops, 17-inch Bullitt-style aluminium wheels and lowered suspension with Bullitt badging and polished tailpipe tips. Modified C-pillars and quarter panel mouldings, brushed aluminium fuel filler door and of course a Dark Highland Green paint job to complete the look.

The ride height was lowered by three-fourths of an inch, improving handling characteristics with a better-balanced ride. A Brembo big brake kit painted red was fitted to provide good stopping power.
