Only seven survived the filming process, of which three have been offered to the public for sale, all with claims of originality and screen-use in the film. One additional Eleanor was made outside the films use, as a gift to the movies producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

The original ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ film from 1974 featured a 1971 Ford Mustang Sportsroof dressed as a 1973 model for the role as Eleanor. The car used a paint theme similar to the Mach 1 Mustang with black undersides and stripes down the hood. The rest of the car wore a ‘School Bus Yellow’ paint job creating a bright contrast for the camera.
