2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 Concept Front View

Meet the Ford Performance and RTR love child, a 7 motor, 1400 horsepower, track monster Mustang Mach-E prototype. The partnership with RTR, who was founded by drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr, has spawned a version of the Mach-E that follows on the footsteps of the Ford Cobra Jet 1400. Designed for different types of applications, the Mach-E 1400 can handle track work, drifting and drag racing with its adjustable platform.

A total of 7 electric motors have been fitted, with 3 in the front and the remaining 7 in the back. These combine for a mammoth total power output of 1,420 PS (1,044 kW), with a single driveshaft connecting them to the differentials and power able to be sent to all four wheels, or just the front or rear. Those diffs are also capable of being adjusted to suit the application at hand with varying ratios to choose from.

A unique 56.8kWh nickel manganese cobalt pouch cell battery has replaced the larger unit found in the road going Mach-E, as this model is capable of charging and discharging at a much faster rate whilst remaining cooler.
